Archie's soggy day - by Archie.

Today I have not been at all impressed with the weather my people provided for me.

My dad let me out early and it was cold and wet, so I came in straight away and shared the wet with my mum by jumping onto the bed and snuggling my dampness into her neck and face - what better way could there be to be woken up?
Then I tried again when she got up. There was still wet everywhere.

Can you see how deep it is outside my door? There was so much wet I had to skip through it and pick up my paws as I ran.

When I came back I was all spiky and had to have a big wash.

I thought I would see if it was different if I went out of the window instead of the door, because you never know.

Unless you try.
Here you see I am a soggy cat sitting hunched up in the garden. I am staring hard at my mum to get her to make it warmer and drier.

This has been the day with the most wet in it that I've ever had.
I have been bored, bored, bored all day, I have ate a lot and slept a lot and been slightly grumpy. It's really not quite an acceptable level of service when humans can't organise some sunshine properly.

  1. Even soggy, you are so adorable, Archie.

It's dreadful weather service, isn't it? We hate it when it's raining (or snowing) too. Our human should be able to make it stop, make it sunny and dry for us, but she's terribly lax and/or inept about such things. Personally, we feel you ought to file a complaint with the RSPCA (the OSPCA for us)!

  2. Awwww lovely sweet and so adorable Archie!!! I'm so sorry your hoomans didn't sort the weather out for you! Oh dear! I can only hope you had plenty of extra treats from them - that's the least they could do to make amends for such slackness!!:-)

Charlie was the same - as in wanting to stay out but running back in because it was so rainy and then getting all grumpy with me like it's my fault! Hang on - of course it is! LOL!

Charlie says: I feel your pain, Archie.

    Take care

  3. Archie, You are a Young Cat, and the Horrible Truth is that humans are woefully inadequate at almost everything. Outside conditions as one of our Top Complaints...

We think you are pretty cute as a punked out spikey kitty! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

  4. Poor Archie! You'd better get used to it, because I suspect there will be a lot more soggy days to come!
Our dog has similar miserable days when it's raining. She sits by the door with sad eyes and cries!!!!

  5. Oh Archie. Poor you. I'm sorry to say there will be lots more wet stuff and before long there will be wet and cold stuff falling from the sky. I guess you won't like that either.

  8. Aww, Archie does look wonderful!
Chocolate loves to go outside when it's raining...but soon after that, he comes in and begs for getting a warm blanket on which he can sleep.
    :) Wonderful, sweet post,
    Love

  11. Hi. I'm sorry to say I don't know the name of our tomatoes but I do know they are a heritage sort. I bought them from a lady that only grows special sorts and this year we have had green, orange, sort of pinky orange and yellow ones...in fact everything but red tomatoes. Oh, and everything from the tiniest to the really huge ones :-) They say variety is the spice of life don't they? :-) I have to let this chutney stand and mature for a month so I can't even say what it tastes like yet either :-)....will let you know in October.
    Have fun experimenting.
