Cats are great at helping wrap presents.Newton is very hard to remove from a place he is comfortable as he tends to get a bit prickly with his claws, so we didn't try very hard. Every now and then he stretched out further and played with the roll bit of the paper so by the time he eventually moved it had quite a few puncture marks in it.
Cats are always very helpful around the house arn't they?

Indeed they are, though right now we all wish for him to be at home destroying things in his usual manner - had to rush him to the vet earlier today as he collapsed, we are very sad and worried and have to leave him there overnight to have tests - not good timing for a stress-free Christmas.x
